Cornish Colony Museum The Cornish Colony Museum is run by a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation: The Cornish Colony Museum Foundation. Its mission is the continued display and promotion of the artistic accomplishments of the famous artists, sculptors, writers, architects and landscape designers who lived and worked in this area of New Hampshire and Vermont, twin communities which sit astride the Connecticut River.

The creative talents of the artists of the Cornish Colony were instrumental in shaping the aesthetic taste of the nation at the turn of the past century. Today, many still consider that aesthetic to represent a golden age in American art and culture. Their legacy is an integral part of the fabric of our national heritage. We intend to honor these artists, writer and musicians who gave us so much. We are committed to adding to their scholarship and to presenting their works so that the public may appreciate the beauty of their gifts. Furthermore, we are committed to being an educational and cultural resource for all the communities in the surrounding region.

We are committed to exhibiting the works of Maxfield Parrish and other prominent members of the Cornish Colony with educational displays concentrating primarily on the 50 year period from 1885 to 1935, and which are devoted to preserving the memories of that turn-of-the-century era.
